Draft — this text will be checked by someone who knows Indian data law before Paisa Book is released.
Your money records are yours. We keep the minimum, never sell or share your data for ads, and you can download or delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Paisa Book is a free expense tracker made for people in and around Chintamani, Karnataka. In this policy, "we" means the people who run Paisa Book, and "you" means the person using it.
Contact and grievance officer: Touqhir, Chintamani, Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka, India. Email: touqhirbiz@gmail.com.
What we collect
Account: your name and email address. If you continue with Google, Google shares only your name and email with us.
What you record: amounts, titles, categories and types (including ones you create), Cash or Online, dates, notes, budgets and savings goals.
Your agreement: which version of this policy and the terms you accepted, when, and in which language.
Usage counts: a random ID for this installation and the kind of action (for example "app opened" or "entry saved"). These never include amounts, notes, names or your email.
We do not collect your phone number, contacts, SMS messages, location or bank details. Your profile picture stays on your phone and is never uploaded.
Why we use it
To run your account, keep your entries safe, and bring them back if you change phones.
To show your totals, reports, budgets and goals.
To answer problems and suggestions you send us.
To understand, only as overall counts, how many people use the app, so we can improve it.
Where your data is kept
Your entries are saved on your phone first, so the app works without internet. When you are online, they are copied to our database (Supabase) on servers in Mumbai, India. Our website runs on Vercel.
Data is encrypted while it travels between your phone and our servers. Backups of the database are encrypted before they are stored.
Who can see it
Only you. The database itself blocks every other account from reading or changing your records.
The Paisa Book team can see only overall numbers (such as how many people used the app today), never your amounts, notes or any single person's records.
We never sell your data, never show ads, and never offer loans or credit. We share data only with the services that run the app (Supabase for storage, Google for sign-in, Vercel for the website, an email service for sign-in emails), and only for that purpose, or when Indian law requires it.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can: see and download your data (Profile → Export to CSV); correct it (edit any entry or your name); delete your account and all your data (Profile → Delete my account, or on our website); withdraw your consent, which you do by deleting your account; name someone to act for you if you cannot; and raise a complaint with us.
We complete account deletion within 7 days, usually at once. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. After you delete it, your data is removed from our database within 7 days, and from encrypted backups when those backups expire a short time later.
Children
Paisa Book is meant for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and ask you to agree again in the app before anything new happens.
